X (formerly Twitter) is still refining its X Hiring features, and the platform is currently working on new job level filters, as well as other search parameters to make discovery easier.
X is adding role seniority filters, company name search, role type (remote or on-site), and more.
The filters will bring X Hiring more in line with LinkedIn, and other job posting sites, enabling more relevant discovery within the app.
This is an important focus because X Hiring has emerged as one of the most successful additions to the platform under Elon Musk, with more than a million open roles now being displayed in the app.
X began posting job listings on business accounts last August when the company started rolling out top-tier Verification for Organizations package, which costs $1,000 a month. It has since included this feature in all its X Premium packages (though there is also a cheaper version of its Verification for Organizations option) and also enabled job postings on personal profiles for X Premium users in the U.S. starting January.
With fewer than 1% of accounts actually paying for a subscription -- that's how many have signed up for X Premium and Verification for Business - that is still a good result in indicating the big interest of people posting to the app where so many already go for professional contacts.
So, the next logical step will be job ads that should create an additional revenue stream for the platform. It is important because most of the advertisers are still shy to resume their X campaigns given the rise of angst and division in the app, facilitated by Elon Musk's more open policies on content.
In terms of his "free speech" agenda, Elon is quite determined to push ahead on this and has allowed even more harmful and offensive content to stay active in the app, which has spooked many brands not wanting to risk negative association.
X, in any case, remains hungry for new revenue sources, and X Hiring can easily be a good starting point.
This one is still ironing out details, but it seems an area of potential for further progress.
