While X's Premium offerings have been sufficient enough to bring in a number of users to start paying for the app as yet, its latest updates to its analytics tools could be a tremendous value add for business users.
This is a new feature in X's analytics tools called "Radar" which will enable you to set up keyword analytics; this way, you will be able to track conversation volume over time and monitor topical trends relevant to your business and/or niche.
X actually first previewed this feature in August, giving a rundown on the potential benefits of the tool for optimal utilization of X.
And now, X is taking Radar to even more users, providing selected Premium+ subscribers with early access to this powerful new discovery process, ahead of rolling access.
Still pretty expensive. X Premium+ costs $16 a month, or $168 a year (when bought on the web), but for that outlay you'll not only get access to these more advanced analytics options, but you'll also get access to X Pro (formerly TweetDeck), Media Studio, and its Grok AI chatbot, among other benefits.
Also, no ads. X announced back in August that Premium+ users will no longer be shown ads in-stream.
So there are benefits to paying, though it's an extra cost you should factor into your budget. But if you're serious about using X to market your business and reach your target audience, the cost will probably be well worth it for these advanced features.
The problem X has now is that it's depreciating in value for most brands, so demand for its Premium offerings has shrunk over the past couple of years. So it's probably not getting the take-up that it should as more businesses go elsewhere to promote their wares. But with 500 million monthly actives, and great influence (still) it may well be worth consideration.
Honestly, X Radar is one of its best add-ons to date, and if you're also using X Pro, you could rationalize your other social media management apps, and get the full benefit of X analytics.
I do think this is a good product, and wish X would have made this a focus sooner, rather than devaluing its paid add-on features by focusing on selling blue ticks.
But again, if you're still utilizing X for your business promotion purposes, then perhaps this is something worth considering.
