TikTok has launched a new campaign, in partnership with the UK Olympic team, highlighting its link to the competition and the role that the app plays supporting both athletes and creators.
The campaign will celebrate both British's athletes, and its purpose is to demonstrate how inspiring and connective TikTok can be.
As TikTok indicated:
"As people come to TikTok every day and are inspired to try new things-we have seen how this moment of inspiration can snowball into something bigger and change lives. Ahead of the Olympics and Paralympics, we wanted to capture the power of community, creativity, and athletic excellence and show how the journeys of our athletes can inspire people to try new things and pursue their passions."
TikTok is a partner of the Team GB and ParalympicsGB teams, who are set to head off to the Games in the next few weeks, and this campaign will host exclusive content and insight from that set of athletes and, in turn, drive the expansion of conversation around the event.
It would thus go a long way in getting more users across to the app by showcasing how athletes use TikTok clips to share their journeys. Additionally, with many people likely to look up these athletes during the games, TikTok may be one of the key destinations in helping get to know them more intimately.
As such, it's a great promotion for the app, highlighting the benefits of TikTok for broader connection and community. And with a heap of Olympic-related activity expected in the app, it could also help to drive more discussion, making it a more valuable destination for ad partners.
TikTok declares that the campaign will hence be advertised through giant hoardings, as well as through television, radios and social networking sites.
