TikTok introduces an 'Out of Phone' ad option to display clips on additional surfaces.

TikTok is expanding the capabilities of its promotional features with a new "Out of Phone" element that will allow brands to leverage content on billboards, in-store displays, cinema promos, and more.
TikTok's new "Out of Phone" process simply gives brands the power to play back TikTok clips on any new surfaces, thereby maximizing the reach of their promotions.
Out of Phone has thus far comprised three elements:

Out of Phone: Billboard – As the name suggests, it will allow advertisers to use their existing TikTok campaigns on the hoardings in the real world.
Out of Phone: Cinema – Aspires to bring the TikTok experience to cinema screens. 
Off Phone: Other Screens - Less particular, but TikTok says that its "other screens" option will enable ad partners "to bring TikTok's engaging content directly to their audiences on their global networks and screens". That includes bars, restaurants, airports, gas stations, and retail stores, through bespoke partnerships with the TikTok ads team.
Which is how the process will function, with brands working with TikTok direct to facilitate these new display options.

It could be a good option, using the ubiquity and popularity of the TikTok presentation format in all new ways. And with consumers now very familiar with such, that could make your expanded TikTok ads more resonant, and more engaging, in all new ways.

But again, that's even pricier, as the specifics of each process differ. TikTok has another, very generic form of display option, though, through its deal with Atmosphere-to display curated streams of TikTok content on TVs in restaurants, bars, gyms, and so on.

This is, however, rather more specific to each brand and campaign, so it will need much more hands-on support and consulting from the TikTok team.

Thus, it might be too expensive for most smaller brands to fit within their budget, but again, it could be an alternative for brands looking for new ways to reach a lot of people.
