Another new music integration for TikTok is coming in the form of a "Share to TikTok" option which will allow users to share music from Apple Music and Spotify to TikTok.
You will now be able to easily post what you are listening to on Apple Music or Spotify directly to TikTok with a variety of sticker types to draw attention to the track.
Here's how sharing from Spotify looks:.
There'll also be the ability for users to share tracks over DMs, and the stickers, when tapped open up the track listing on Apple Music or Spotify.
As TikTok said
The "Share To TikTok" integration lets users and creators share content from music streaming services into TikTok, opening up all new avenues for creative self-expression and empowering artists, authors, and podcasters to connect directly with their audiences on TikTok.
I mean, "limitless" is really a big word, but it's another way to share music in the application, and given how TikTok's become a discovery platform for music, the need for more engagement with the music is a key focus of the application.
As a matter of fact, studies found that users are much more likely to discover as well as share new music content in TikTok. While 75% of TikTok users find new artists based on clips, the influence of TikTok on the music industry has grown so substantial that some artists even change the names of their tracks for in-app trends.
Therefore, it should make sense for TikTok to stake more on music discovery where it can, and help users amplify their favorite artists in-stream.
Having an easily accessible link back into streaming services can be a very useful driver in that regard-to get users from hearing a clip of the track to connecting onto the whole thing, and the artists' full catalog.
Now, TikTok says, the new sharing integration is live within the app.
