TikTok Expands Its 'Series' Paywall Feature to Additional Creators.

The Series feature is finally available to users in 94 countries, and a "series" of special content can be locked and accessed only behind a paywall. This is another feature that was earlier open only to select content creators.

The first series was announced way back in March, letting users earn up to $190 on their collection of videos. Creators can also make longer videos, up to 20 minutes long. Meanwhile, regular TikTok videos have a 10-minute limit. One Series can have 80 videos or less.

To qualify for the monetization feature, a creator must meet several requirements. For instance, they must be 18 years or older, living in one of the selected regions, have 10,000 followers, and have an account that is 30 days old. In addition, they should have posted three public videos and reached 1,000 views in the last 30 days. A user cannot qualify if they have violated TikTok's Community Guidelines repeatedly.

In some situations, TikTok creators avoid this 10,000 followers requirement. However, there's an application for creators having less than 1,000 followers, whereby such applicants must include a link to premium content sold somewhere else. Remember, just because you apply, there is no guarantee you are accepted.

Users will also apply for Series inside the Creator Center in the TikTok app.

TikTok responded in an updated post yesterday that it will keep developing the way creators are monetized on the application. The company said, "Series is in its early stages, and we're continuously exploring ways to improve the experience for our creator community and the way creators are rewarded. We're looking forward to hearing feedback from our community!"

Late last month, the company began two more creator funds in the areas of its site: for U.S. users, creating money through making original, over one minute long, videos and then Effect Creator Rewards for making effects of its AR platform.
