Tesla's deadline for implementing Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) in Cybertruck vehicles has arrived, and, true to form, superfans are getting the first access. Members of the Cybertruck Owners Club have reported that they can now install the FSD update on their trucks, as noted by Electrek.
Tesla's FSD, which is an advanced driving assistance system, still requires a human driver to take control when necessary. The latest version of FSD (12.5.5) introduces a feature that uses the in-cabin camera to monitor driver attentiveness, even if the driver is wearing sunglasses.
A Tesla fan account, Whole Mars Catalog, shared a trial on X, highlighting a moment when the driver had to intervene to prevent the Cybertruck from driving into a median after making a left turn.
In addition to the FSD rollout, Tesla is expected to unveil its robotaxi concept in less than two weeks. The first early access build of Cybertruck FSD is now available, with reports of a test drive from Beverly Hills to Santa Monica conducted by enthusiasts.
