Snapchat has revealed the next 15 participants in its 523 creator accelerator program, designed to offer support and resources to small, minority-owned businesses and creatives that typically lack access to such opportunities.
Originally launched in 2022, Snap’s 523 program provides selected participants with 12 months of support, including mentorship opportunities, partner education, in-app exposure, and more.
This year, Snap has broadened the initiative to enhance its support.
According to Snap:
“As announced at Snapchat’s NewFronts presentation earlier this spring, the 2024 program has expanded to encompass all underrepresented communities, including the LGBTQ+ community. It has partnered with Ensemble, a branded entertainment company co-founded by award-winning actress, writer, and producer Issa Rae, to empower this year’s class of storytellers while offering brands opportunities to collaborate directly with them.”
This initiative is significant, offering crucial support to those who need it most while also establishing Snapchat as a key platform for promoting and connecting minority-owned brands.
Additionally, Snap has collaborated with Clinique and AT&T to enhance support and education, further equipping participants for future success.
The selected creators will be showcased in Snapchat’s Discovery section throughout the year.
