Now, for iPhone users running iOS 18 and above, they can replace the lock screen shortcut for flashlight or native camera for the camera on Snapchat. Users have to unlock their phone to share a picture that's been taken or video that's been recorded with the shortcut.
According to its application, Snaps of more than 55,000 are made every second on average, and the app is making it easier to capture the moment while the moment happens with this integration.
Setup: Tapping and holding on your lock screen will enable customization. You'll then select an option for "Lock Screen". Then you tap on the controls along the bottom of your screen in order to select "don't use" on default options, tapping a "plus" to add in the Snapchat Camera.
According to the company, you can even control the iPhone 16 Camera Control so it would open Snapchat and then click to take snaps.
The changes announced today are the latest from Snapchat using new features on the iPhone. Prior to today, the company already launched customizable lock screen and home screen widgets with iOS 16 and an option to customize an Action button to open the Snapchat app instantly with the iPhone 15.
But even as early as some weeks after the stealthy debut, the popular messaging and media app Snapchat officially announced the launch of its new Footsteps feature. The new feature employs Snap Map to enable users to view all the parts of the world that they have now visited and followed where they traveled-only available before to Snapchat+ subscribers.
