It follows that a house was raided after reports that fireworks were being sold to children.
Over 200 packets of suspected illegal cigarettes and 100 non-compliant vapes were also seized at the Byker Wall, Newcastle property.
The city council said the action followed reports that someone was driving a van around the Walker area and selling fireworks to children.
Police then discovered a Facebook page that sold pyrotechnics in the east end of the village, where they identified the house that was burgled,
Ch Insp David Wheeler of Northumbria Police said: "You might not know it, but buying illegal fireworks is often funding much more serious criminality like the supply of drugs and crimes by gangs."
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service area manager for community safety Paul Russell says people should only attend managed displays.
"Buying fireworks from illegal retailers can have severe, avoidable consequences.
"These products frequently do not meet critical safety requirements, and sellers have caused injuries through burns, loss of eyesight, and other life-changing types of injury."
