Pinterest has introduced some new ad options for the holidays, and it's also launched a new "Festive Season Hub" to help guide businesses through the Pin ads process.

Here's what's new from Pinterest first:

Pinterest is also offering all advertisers access to its new "Special Offers" element for Pin ads, which enables you to add specific offer tags to maximize interest.
According to Pinterest:

Highlight a discount, free delivery or other offers by choosing from more than 20 different promotional templates. Your promotion will automatically display as a new visual element on your standard, video and shopping ads, making it easy for shoppers to spot the savings."

The tags will make your Pin promotions really pop - and that may get more people to tap through on your offers.

Pinterest has recently updated its automated ad tools, too, adding "Performance+" to its automated ad suite, and new AI creative options for your promotions.

Which is just another element in its holiday campaign push:

"Performance+ automatically applies best practices for decisions such as targeting, budgeting and bidding, eliminating 50% of the usual set-up fields. Then, it helps to optimize results over time.

Pinterest also highlights that you can make use of certain Performance+ products right within your standard campaign set up.

"For example, you can turn on Performance+ options for such items as bidding, targeting or budgeting."  You can now apply AI background generation to your Pin ads, which may help you create more prominent Pins.
All these updates and tips are included as part of Pinterest's 2024 Festive Season Hub, a breakout mini-site that includes specific ad tips, insights, and pointers.

Pinterest has become a primary destination for shoppers, with 537 million monthly active users-meaning there is a lot of prospective, active customers browsing in the app.
