Pinterest Introduces a New Music Feature for Idea Pins, Featuring Tracks from Well-Known Artists.

Pinterest plans to help creators create Idea Pins that are more engaging, and they are doing it through the addition of new music options to Pin creations from some of the world's biggest recording artists and stars.
"As explained by Pinterest:

"We've formed new partnerships with Warner Music Group, Warner Chappell Music, Merlin, and BMG, to bring today's top artists and music on the platform. With these new agreements, users can now add tracks by Ed Sheeran, Silk Sonic, Anitta, and many more to their Idea Pins."

Besides this, Pinterest has also announced the expansion of its royalty-free music library with a partnership with 7Digital, while it is working with Rumblefish in terms of music metadata and license management services.

Adding known and trending songs to Idea Pins will enable creators to engage more creatively with their audience, unlocking new ways for them to inspire through their content with music expression.

Music has become an integral part of the short-form video shift, because many musicians now develop promotion strategies going hand in glove with TikTok trends to maximize reach and engagement. To that end, Meta, YouTube, and TikTok have all announced exclusive music deals to help more creators promote popular tracks, while also garnering the benefit of using those songs in their clips.

Thus, it is only but reasonable for Pinterest to ride this trend while its nearest alternative to short-form videos is the Idea Pins, which, in turn, fuels the surge of ingenuity and innovation on the application.
