Pinterest unveils carousel ad format that lets advertisers bring up to five images within one ad "to tell great stories on Pinterest.
The new Pin carousels look just like regular Pins in the feed, but with a string of grey dots underneath that will indicate there are a couple of images within that particular Pin. You can swipe across those images in the stream or click into the Pin to swipes across to see them at full size.
Each card within the carousel can have a different image, title, description, and landing page, offering an entirely new set of options for Pin advertisers.
Carousel ads have proven to be successful on both Instagram and Facebook, and LinkedIn introduced its version this year. On Pinterest, imagine that option will prove useful, for users and advertisers alike, offering a non-intrusive way to showcase more aspects of a featured product in interactive ways.
Pinterest's Carousel ads are now available for all business accounts.
