There is a new Pinterest certification available in the company's education tool, Pinterest Academy: a "Media Buyer" certification course that is live now to all users.
According to the company, Pinterest's Media Buyer certification will allow media professionals to certify their Pin expertise and is free to all Pinterest Academy subscribers.

The Pinterest Media Buyer Certification measures and verifies job-related knowledge and real-life experience with the Pinterest ad platform. It is designed to have marketers stand out in a highly competitive industry and get ahead in their career - with a standard of advertising excellence from Pinterest.
To be certified, participants will need to pass a 60-question multiple-choice exam covering campaign activation, optimization, and ads reporting among other topics.
For those to get certified, they have to pass the exam with a minimum pass mark of 70%. In case they fail, then they will have to wait for two weeks before attempting the exam.
Pinterest said it is a test meant for media buyers who have between two and five years of experience and one or two years of specific experience using Pinterest advertising tools.
It is the latest addition to Pinterest's education platform, which it initially launched in 2019, providing a dedicated means to improve your Pin knowledge and then demonstrate that via the provision of certifications and badges.
And with the platform now up to 518 million monthly active users, who come to the platform with high purchase intent, it may well be worth upping your Pin knowledge and maximizing your campaigns within the app.
