Increased language support will enhance Pinterest's attractiveness and usage across various markets.
Pinterest has added support for the Hebrew language, broadening access for millions of additional users.

This latest step is called for through the addition of the Hebrew language, which would become an option in Pinterest to enable access to more users.
According to Pinterest:

"Today, Pinterest is launching in Hebrew for Pinners around the world. With more than 55 million Hebrew Pins on Pinterest, we want to make it that much easier for Pinners to discover fresh ideas and get inspired for life's projects in their preferred language," Pinterest said.

That will open up the app to more people, especially in Israel, where the majority of that nation's 9 million citizens can read and speak the language, Hebrew (Pinterest is currently the third most popular social app in Israel). Hebrew is also widely spoken in Poland, and within several communities in the US, and put together, this could open its doors to a far larger number of users; which may help give Pinterest that boost in usage, something it needs badly right now.

Indeed, after a massive surge in the number of users at the start of the pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns across the globe that had even more people shifting towards eCommerce, the monthly active user count at Pinterest has been steadily falling, with the app losing no less than 47 million users during 2021.
Adding Hebrew support won't help Pinterest regain even a meaningful share of lost users, but the platform needs to diversify as much as possible, increasing its appeal among as many user groups as can be reached so that it can regain the growth momentum.

Adding another language is only one step in the process.

To put the language on Hebrew in Pinterest, go to the phone settings to the "Language & Region" menu and to the Hebrew settings. The Pinterest app will then automatically have followed your device's language setting.
