Pinterest is taking its collage-based app Shuffles to nine more markets as it looks to build on early enthusiasm for the feature and build up more distribution for its main app in the process.
As Pinterest points out:
"When it first arrived in the App Store in 2022, Shuffles quickly gained a cult following, letting users cut, overlap and add elements and animations to images from their camera roll or from Pinterest Pins. Today, Shuffles is launching in nine new countries: Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands."
The first rollout was launched to users in the United States last August, and another rollout to Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand went live last November. Additional countries the app can now be downloaded in should provide an even greater base for the users of the service - again, seeing an increase of users using the tool as a means into Pinterest
Here is where the benefit is to Pinterest, as images in Shuffles collages are backlinked to Pins. Users can share their Shuffles creations to connections in the app, or across other apps, including TikTok or IG, which basically sees it as an advertisement for Pins.
You can select images from Pinterest, or take your own with Pinterest's system scanning Pinterest for similar objects.
Therefore, it can be regarded as the same portal to Pinterest but a creative one allowing arresting and creative images for the new paradigm.
Besides, Pinterest has also been enriched by some new features:
"We've developed our very powerful new keyframe animation along with creation and export along with a smoother search-and-cut-out experience. Moreover, we have made discoveries more inspiring through a new home feed, and conversations easier with better messaging and the ability to find your friends."
This will be the best time for Pinterest to keep generating more interest, and we can wait and watch if this will give the momentum to Shuffles, too.
Shuffles was available for download in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands starting last week.
