Today's announcement from the company revealed it has acquired Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition in preparation for a trailer from Grand Theft Auto 6.
GTA: The Trilogy, 2021- This compilation includes three titles from the GTA series that are really popular: GTA III where the protagonist Claude is lost in Liberty City; GTA: Vice City with former mobster Tommy Vercetti trying to reassert himself; and GTA: San Andreas, which has Carl "CJ" Johnson, a member of the gang. Each game now has enhanced graphics and new gameplay.
Three titles will roll out on the Netflix mobile app on 14th December, besides standalone applications which will only be downloadable using a subscription to the service from the App Store and the Google Play Store. Games can be pre-registered now.
GTA really tops the already-popular list of mobile games currently accessible for streaming on the popular platform with many others besides, such as Monument Valley, Oxenfree, Heads Up!, LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed, Country Friends, Cut the Rope, among others.
The company has been expanding its gaming efforts recently. Netflix began testing its cloud gaming service last month, which will let players access games on smart TVs and other devices connected to a TV through their mobile device-as-controller.
