The service today launched a shortcut option for mobile users, if they want to access the favorite and need-to-watch titles quickly. Called "My Netflix," it will act as a dedicated space for recently watched movies and TV shows, downloaded titles, trailers, reminders of titles coming up, titles one has liked (thumbs up), "Continue Watching, and the "My List" section, among other items.
Instead of the "Downloads" tab at the bottom-right corner of the screen, that will become "My Netflix".
The new feature lets viewers easily view all the series and movies they already want to watch in one place. What is more, according to our opinion, My List on the home screen is placed too far down and it is a time-consuming process to scroll down to it. Going to the "My Netflix" tab may even cut back time spent scrolling endlessly and browsing Netflix's huge library of titles.
"The more you engage with and share with Netflix what you love-like saving more action-thrillers like 'Extraction 2' to My List or giving a thumbs up to every season of 'Bridgerton'-the more you'll see on the My Netflix tab," said Netflix in its blog today.
Availability for Android devices will be rolling out in early August, but the new destination is live today for iOS.
Meanwhile, last week, Netflix also posted its second-quarter earnings results, adding 5.9 million subscribers, thereby bringing the total global membership count to 238.4 million.
