Want to leverage Reels for your Facebook and/or Instagram campaigns?
Here's how: today, Meta released a new, 7-page 'Reels Creative Mini-Manual' providing a recap of a range of tips on how to elevate your Reels creative, and tap into key usage trends and behaviors.
Download the full guide for yourself here, but in this post, we take a look at some of the key notes.
The guide mostly teaches creators how to speak 'the language of Reels', 'a style that's entertaining, digestible and relatable all at once', according to Meta.
The approach with more detail is provided in the guide, and there are some technical breakdowns included.
Specific notes on maxing out engagement on your Reels through the use of music and visual effects are also included:.
Finally, Meta has also broken down the 'language of Reels' elements into specific breakdowns to further help your strategic planning.
Reels is fast gaining an essential position in both Facebook and Instagram campaigns. Early April, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, while talking at the quarterly earnings call noted that the use of Reels had led to a 24% increase in time spent on Instagram and it was similar on Facebook as people increasingly come to both apps for entertainment with the short form video trend having spread to virtually every app.
It is a critical trend of note: social apps are growing away from social interactions and more to content discovery, which people then share with their friends using messaging apps rather than the social app. Thus, Reels are getting more attention, and, as such, should at least be on the radar of all marketers as an avenue for promotion to maximize brand awareness and response.
And in that respect, this guide could be very helpful indeed.
