Meta introduces new tools to offer creators more opportunities during the holiday season.

With the holiday season fast approaching, which will see more people turning to their devices for entertainment, Meta is looking to help creators capitalize on the opportunity by providing new incentives within its creator offerings, including an expansion of digital gifts, new ways to promote your account, a holiday bonus program, and more.

First off, on in-stream gifts, Meta is making available digital gifts on IG in a whole lot more regions, opening up more paths through which creators can earn money from in-stream stickers.
Says Meta:

"We have recently expanded gift availability for creators in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey," Meta said. Meta is also offering some new seasonal-themed virtual gifts on Facebook from now through the end of.

Gifts can be a nice way to drive extra revenue for creators, with a portion of every gift allocated given back to the creator. So it's actually kinds of virtual donations, but instead of tips, is in the form of stickers.

To be eligible for gifts, creators have to have over 5,000 followers and also run a professional account.

On top of that, Meta comes up with a new, invite-only "Holiday Bonus" program for creative talent: the more Reels plays and photo views top stars receive in the bonus period, the more they'll be rewarded.

That will give these users an additional push to be published even more so that Meta can make the most of its content flow in the period.

Another angle is that Meta wants to make it easier for creators to grow their following: the company is introducing a new "Subscribe" button that will surface within Feed when a creator's followers see their content.
Meta is also adding more ways to drive subscriptions from creators on Facebook, including allowing creators to offer free 30-day subscription trials to fans.

Finally, Meta is also providing new guidelines for creators to facilitate their optimization of content toward ad partnerships.
Eligibility pointers for boosting ad partnerships will now appear when a creator chooses "Allow brand partner to boost" during a story creation.
This shall help creators ensure that they maximize the advertising opportunity by avoiding some possible issues with limiting monetization.

For that reason, creators remain a key focus of Meta; Meta knows that it needs creative talent-now and in the future-to continue to keep users coming back, especially given the emphasis on Reels and how it's now driving traffic on both Facebook and IG.

I mean, clips from old TV shows are doing pretty good, but it's those creators who really make that idea pay off and will also help shape the next generation of users into the metaverse as that continues to evolve.

As such, it's an important push by the company to further entrench itself with top creative voices.
