Meta Broadens the Availability of Generative AI Features for Ad Creation.

Meta has now announced a broader rollout of its new generative AI features for ad-making, including text options, background generation, and image expansion tools, following the testing of these capabilities with select brand partners over the past five months.
As the names suggest, each of these new elements will use generative AI to provide more creative options, whether through suggested post captions, alternative image backgrounds, or generated visuals to use in different ad formats.

Which could be a huge benefit in your ad creation process, as Meta's initial test pool found that the new options saved them a lot of time and helped them maximize their campaigns.

According to Meta:

"According to a poll of early test advertisers, half predict saving five or more hours of time a week or roughly one month a year and cite as reasons such capabilities as generating multiple versions of assets with the click of a button, eliminating endless revisions that often occur with input from creative and media groups and enabling more tactical labor.

In addition, test partners demonstrated that Meta's new ad AI tools contributed to the fact that their performance in the campaign could be allowed for faster scaling with more creative ad variations than ever.
There is an opportunity for the application of any of them, though specifically, background generation should be helpful and applied effectively in your process, too. Meta works currently on other forms of background generation, too.

We'd like to give advertisers a bunch more capabilities to build background images within minutes with custom themes-picture outdoor images for a sportswear brand. More than this, Meta also is working on AI-focused tools for business messaging: an area that's shown strong lately:

Businesses will soon be able to use the AIs on Messenger and WhatsApp for business messaging - to connect with customers in facilitating commerce, engagement, support, and to unlock instant responses in conversations. We're testing with a number of businesses at Alpha now. Scaling out next year.

This is one of the good ways through which generative AI would be applied in the advertisement creation process, with recommendation and alternatives, rather than just trying to use AI completely to automate the whole process. I mean, Meta is working on that as well, but right now, at least, most of the generative AI tools seem to work best when used as supplementary tools-as assistive tools, rather than replacements for real human input.
Perhaps at some later date, AI bots may become so advanced that, in this sense, they will actually outdo human beings. However, I do have a feeling that true creativity will be rather difficult to simulate. Thus, if derivative content is the goal that is similar to everything created before, AI systems would be able to do so (and possibly perform extremely well), but for breakthrough innovation and creativity, input from human beings would still be necessary.

However, used correctly, AI further extends the capabilities of advertisers and facilitates much wider testing and personalization and hopefully response.

Meta mentions all these new features that AI will start rolling from today across the Ads Manager of Meta worldwide and expecting to reach complete rollout sometime next year.
