Sony held its PlayStation Showcase on Wednesday, with its big reveal being 10 minutes of gameplay for the much-awaited Spider-Man 2 video game. The event also offered a short clip that was focused on the game's central villain, Kraven the Hunter.

The gameplay trailer shows a much angrier Peter Parker in the black symbiote suit working alongside Miles Morales to take on Kraven and stop him from capturing Dr. Curt Connors — a.k.a. The Lizard. It's also looking like Venom will show up at some point in the game.

The game also features a mode where players can play as both Peter and Miles, with their own unique epic abilities, so when a player gets to learn about Miles having underarm web wings he is really going to be excited to glide across New York City.

Spider-Man 2 was developed by Insomniac Games. It is the sequel to 2018's Spider-Man video game, and in 2020 a spinoff video game was released, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

With the trailer watched, it is safe to say Spider-Man 2 will definitely be another hit for PlayStation, going by how well the other Spider-Man games have gone so far. Together, that brings the video game series to over 33 million copies sold so far.

Spider-Man 2 is PS5 exclusive and should drop sometime this fall.
