LinkedIn confirms this week's roll out of Pages Messaging to all businesses. The feature had rolled out first in the feature with some company pages last June.
Pages Messaging adds a "Message" button to your company profile in the app, enabling visitors to get in contact more easily with your business.
Company page messaging is enabled or disabled from your inbox settings; admins can also see messages to pages in addition to their personal inbox.
Admins can also assign different conversation topics, to help them filter these messages and categorize them easily.
As noted above, LinkedIn first started rolling out company page messaging last year, but many brands remain without access. This newest roll-out is set to change and thus provides yet another integration consideration when connecting in the professional social app.
And that's not all.
Direct in-app messaging expansion aside, LinkedIn is also collaborating with a variety of third-party platforms for enabling company messaging through social management tools.
We're excited to announce our first six API integrations, including Bird CRM, Brandwatch, Hootsuite, Oktopost, Sprinklr, and Zoho. Message capabilities through one of these partner solutions will help reinforce admins who may already utilize one of these platforms. Admins can now manage their messaging at scale through specialized solutions with an API integration with one of these partners.
Considering the increasing utility of DMs as a connection tool, it is quite logical that LinkedIn would give additional means for users to connect with opportunities through private message and also give brands more capacity to do that with their in-app presence.
Indeed, as that time goes by, all the "social" parts of social networks are all moving into private chats, and as it becomes more of a habit, providing more means for such seems like the obvious step.
