LinkedIn is consistently expanding its suite of generative AI tools.
LinkedIn Introduces New Generative AI Search Features for Sales Navigator.

It continues to lean into generative AI, this time through new AI elements for Sales Navigatorones intended to make it easier to search for information and connect with leads by speaking in a more conversational language and summaries.
"It creates a more conversational interface," LinkedIn said.

How simple is this now-a-day sentence : "Find me marketing decision makers at LinkedIn on the U.S. East Coast with whom I have a second-degree connection." AI-assisted search automatically does the work of choosing the correct search filters, based on the prompt, to unlock a new level of ease in sellers' lead identification workflows.

That could make it a whole lot easier to dig deeper, and grow your research universe, which may provide a lot of new leads for you, without necessarily having to know the absolute, correct Boolean strings or search parameters .

And on top of all that, LinkedIn's also introducing a new "Account IQ" feature, which will also rely on generative AI to produce summaries of core information about potential contacts.
New summary sections on relevant news, financials, key team members, and more will be designed by LinkedIn's AI system.

Instead of needing to dig through many different sources of information, with one click, sellers can use Account IQ to understand key highlights about an account in a single view. This could include information from public filing data and financial reports, to our unique LinkedIn insights about workforce trends and what's top-of-mind for company leaders.

That could dramatically improve your response time and outreach, by providing you with all the information you might need to customize your pitch in a simple summary.

The new options continue LinkedIn's latest forays into the growing adoption of generative AI. Already, it has added AI profiles summaries, post prompts, job listings, and more.

Which makes sense, given that LinkedIn's parent company Microsoft is keen on bringing AI into virtually all of its apps and functions, what with its partnership with ChatGPT maker OpenAI.

And in another announcement, LinkedIn also said that member interest in generative AI is also surging, with the platform seeing 33x more posts about AI and GPT year-over-year.
From this, LinkedIn is also providing its most popular courses from LinkedIn Learning for free on generative AI through to the end of the year up until 15th December, offering an additional way for members to up their knowledge with AI, and to make it an even bigger part of the professional landscape.

And indeed, it is growing to be increasingly larger. While most AI tools are presently quite limited, they are still evolving, and people are discovering more uses for AI prompts every day. I don't think they will replace entire roles en masse, but they are extremely useful supplementary tools, which will show a level of utility in almost any work environment.

And with all that, it may be worth taking these LinkedIn Learning courses while you can, and learning more about the generative AI shift.

LinkedIn's two new generative AI features for Sales Navigator are now available to a limited number of users in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. LinkedIn will expand access soon.
