LinkedIn Introduces Native Post Scheduling Feature Within the App.

Now, a few users can start to take advantage of LinkedIn's native post scheduling tool, which it has been testing internally for the past few months.

That gives you yet another tool to manage your LinkedIn presence, which may be a big help in maximizing your on-platform presence. And with more users looking to potential alternatives, just in case Twitter falls in on itself, that may be a bigger consideration.

It's really very simple: tap the clock icon to open the schedule and enter a date and time for when you would like your post to appear, within the app itself or up to 90 days in advance.

Then just tap 'Next' then 'Schedule' and done, the post is scheduled, all within the app.

You can view and manage your scheduled posts from within the app as you see in the second image. This allows for a seamless way to keep up with your LinkedIn presence from anywhere.

In that regard, it's not really a game-changer functionally because most third-party social media management apps allow you to schedule posts on LinkedIn already. Native scheduling options tend to be a bit more reliable, especially as far as how posts will actually look once live. Most of the scheduling tools now come with preview elements to help you out with that, but integrated tools will give you more definitive direction while offering more post types and tools.

We asked LinkedIn for further details about the roll-out and here is what it said in a statement:

"We are beginning to roll out post scheduling on desktop and Android so that our creators can easily plan the content they want to share next, with iOS coming soon. This means you can schedule text posts, videos, and images up to three months in advance."

Not yet available to all, but coming soon for all platforms.

LinkedIn also says it'll be adding post scheduling for Groups, Company Pages, and other types of content in the near future.

It could be a pretty useful addition, helping you map out your LinkedIn strategy in a more integrated, mobile-friendly way.
