LinkedIn is introducing yet another way to squeeze a bit more out of your lead generation efforts, as lead gen is now available as an objective for boosted posts.
, now, when you boost a post from your LinkedIn feed, you will have the option to choose "Lead Generation" as your goal. Up till now, only reach and engagement have been available as objectives for LinkedIn's quick boost option.
You can set up a simple ad, and then set your budget and targeting options and add a lead form template that'll be attached to the campaign.
The option will give you another avenue for building your own contact list while also providing insight into your audience.
According to LinkedIn:
"LinkedIn members interact with company Pages over two billion times per month, gaining professional insights and staying informed about industry trends. With the introduction of post boosting for Lead Generation, you can turn your content into ads, using first-party data to capture high-quality leads, extending your reach beyond your existing LinkedIn Page followers."
This may be a very practical extension to your LinkedIn advertising strategy, as it enables another way of maximizing reach from your best performing posts and use them for data collection.
This is, however, a lighter-weight feature, and therefore does not offer the same depth of targeting options that you get in LinkedIn's Campaign Manager. If you want to be sure you're covering all your bases, you'll need to run a full campaign in the app. Either way, it's another consideration for your LinkedIn marketing approach.
Lead Generation boost is now available worldwide, in all languages on both mobile and desktop according to LinkedIn.
