LinkedIn Introduces Dynamic UTM Parameters for Campaign Tracking.

LinkedIn is launching a new campaign performance tracking feature using dynamic UTM parameters that will enable marketers to add a customizable tracking element to their campaign URLs.
Dynamic UTMs, also offered through many platforms and third party tools, now become easy to trace the click origin. And now you are going to be able to do it with LinkedIn marketing as well.

As LinkedIn has described it:

"Marketers-just once per campaign-add a dynamic UTM parameter to their campaign-and we'll automatically pull in the account, campaign and/or creative name into the destination URL so it can be picked up by analytics tools, making it easier for marketers to analyze results."

LinkedIn is going to open the door to using both static and dynamic parameters in a marketer's UTM elements, to expand your info tracking.
The process though being a relatively simple measure of tracking does not utilize third-party cookies or IP addresses, hence you can track more response data while aligning with all those shifting privacy changes.

It is quite an addition to LinkedIn campaigns, which will offer more ways of measuring specific campaign performance. While UTM parameters are nothing new, the fact you can now use them in your LinkedIn campaigns is a whole step forward.

LinkedIn says Dynamic UTMs will be available, globally, in English by the end of March 2024.
