A new AI-empowered element has been added to the Sales Navigator platform by LinkedIn, which will summarise in the app key things to note about a prospective contact and help you establish a connection that could further drive engagement.
Sales Navigator has introduced an option called "Lead IQ", through which one can get a convenient overview of key notes about any LinkedIn member with just one click.
According to LinkedIn,
Lead IQ summarizes LinkedIn data into a concise summary of a lead's experience, achievements, interests, commonalities, and activities. Whether you're crafting that perfect outreach or preparing for customer meetings, Lead IQ gives users a competitive advantage in the battle for buyers' attention.
That could help you strike up more valuable business relationships by quickly summarizing some key notes that could assist in your outreach.
According to LinkedIn, it can be a fantastic preparation for last-minute meetings, and it can also help users stand out in interviews.
"In seconds, Lead IQ delivers impactful LinkedIn-sourced insights on any lead, like their passions, interests, or industry experience, empowering sellers to showcase a deep understanding from the start."
It could be a great option to help you kick-start new business relationships by streamlining the research process.
Linkedin has also powered up its "Account IQ" tool in Sales Navigator as well, which has insights that highlight how your products and services can help the specific organization.
These are the latest in LinkedIn's expanding AI toolset, and it's interesting to see how LinkedIn is adapting AI for different use cases within the app.
And while some of them I don't think are useful themselves, like post suggestions by AI, this sort of tool leverages what's good about gen AI in sifting through swathes of data to come up with good summaries and notes that would otherwise take an hour or more of research to keep track of.
Although AI doesn't always get it right, and I would exercise a level of caution in how you use these tools. Or just ensure that you tap through to read further as to how it's come up with its conclusions, because it would be embarrassing to make reference to something that's either not true, or maybe isn't something that the contact feels comfortable talking about.
But in principle at least, these are useful add-ons that can ostensibly put you ahead in the outreach and engagement game.
