LinkedIn is unveiling the inaugural podcast from its collaboration with iHeartRadio, introducing the Gen Z-oriented "Let's Talk Offline" as part of the platform's enhanced podcast selection.
Hosted by LinkedIn Career Development editor Gianna Prudente and LinkedIn Community Manager Jamé Jackson Gadsden, the podcast will explore the changing landscape of work for younger audiences.
According to LinkedIn:
“The weekly chat show, launching next week, will focus on what it takes to succeed in the early stages of your career without compromising your values, well-being, or sleep. Each episode will feature candid discussions, addressing your unfiltered questions about work and life, especially those inquiries you might hesitate to pose to your manager or colleagues. In essence, it’s about having those honest conversations offline.”
LinkedIn has been actively enhancing its original podcast offerings since launching its Podcast Network in 2022, which now includes a variety of LinkedIn-branded podcasts centered on professional growth and career skills.
Additionally, last year, LinkedIn established its own Podcast Academy to support creators venturing into audio content. This new partnership with iHeartRadio will further broaden their reach through iHeartRadio’s extensive network, which already boasts over 160 million podcast downloads monthly.
Podcast listenership has consistently grown over the past decade, with approximately 460 million people now regularly tuning in. Given LinkedIn's commitment to providing actionable insights and learning opportunities, podcasts align well with its broader goals and could become a more integral part of the platform in the future.
It will be intriguing to see what further opportunities this partnership generates and how LinkedIn may expand its podcast offerings through iHeartRadio.
