LinkedIn Eliminates the 'Curious' Reaction Option for Posts.

What a bizarre case this is.

In the past week, thousands of LinkedIn users reported seeing that the 'curious' emoji reaction was missing in the app, and set of reactions is now rolled back to six options once again.
After adding 'funny' reaction late June, LinkedIn had reached the seven quick reactions available on any post, but now the 'curious' answer seems to have been somehow depreciated in the latest application update.
Why is that?

Well, you'd think that it's probably just from lack of use. But LinkedIn hasn't confirmed or denied anything either way, so we really don't know if it has been taken away or it was just a mistake, glitch, etc.

But at least the strange response does appear to be gone.

Big deal? Hardly, and if LinkedIn has scrubbed it from their site, it wasn't getting much use anyway, so perhaps no big loss. It is, however, interesting, both ways.

We've reached out to LinkedIn for further comment, and we will update this post if we hear back.

UPDATE (3/9): SMT reader Julian Dawkins has given more light into the Curious reaction being removed through a recent discussion on LinkedIn.
According to LinkedIn, to Julian, this explanation

In a recent survey, we learned that members and creators generally feel that the Curious reaction is a confusing signal to decipher with so many interpretations. And as such, members and creators said they don't derive value from its use or receipt.".

And here's your answer – no more curiosity.
