LinkedIn is trying to let businesses better share their stances on issues, adding a new enhancement to Company Commitments-a feature that the company rolled out the first time in September.
Commitments is LinkedIn's part that lets brands share important values on the Company Page.
LinkedIn said this feature helped connect like-minded staffers and build company brands; it's now expanding such Commitments listings to also appear in job ads.
According to LinkedIn:
"Company's commitments - such as work-life balance, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), career growth and learning, social impact, and environmental sustainability - will now automatically show up in the Job Details when you post a job. We're also introducing a new job search filter so job seekers can easily discover open roles at your organization based on these commitments."
Companies will also be able to share their Commitments within feed posts, offering a new set of ways to bring this feature to more of your members on LinkedIn.
LinkedIn is also introducing a new way prospective employees can be able to register their interest in working for your company through the new 'I'm interested' button provided on your Company Page.
Now, when a candidate clicks the 'I'm interested' button on your LinkedIn Page, it automatically shares the candidate's LinkedIn Profile in a new Spotlights tab in Recruiter, so it is easier to find engaged candidates for active and future open jobs."
This will join your list of commitments with better alignment in connecting your business with more suitable staff, resulting in a powerful recruitment pipeline for future opportunities.
It's a very interesting initiative coming from LinkedIn. The COVID pandemic made a lot of people re-evaluate their way of life and their sense of how they're spending their time, thus creating elements like the flexibility of work as an even more critical factor.
Some part of this is by giving business opportunities to showcase specific causes and elements that they are in support of, therefore assisting job seekers in relevant employers that may lead to happy staff and better linking toward the same goals.
Being able to share it in LinkedIn is an essential advantage that could see businesses seek more recruits in the application.
