Instagram Tests In-Stream Performance Tips for Reels.

Not sure if it's helpful or annoying, but Instagram is currently testing new in-stream performance notes on Reels. Those will explain why a clip is succeeding in the app.
If you tap through on the prompt, they do provide a detailed breakdown of performance notes.
The tips can be helpful in understanding what exactly works so well in Reels and highlights the most key aspects for reach in the app.

Which would probably interest creators but I don't know that broader users are going to care much about the extras-which of course take up another block of real estate on the screen. So maybe then, though, Instagram only intends to roll it out to Creator accounts, thereby making sure they'll be shown only to the individuals most likely to be of interest.

This may seem to be a slightly different angle in which people will start thinking about the performance of Reels, as well as the factors that the IG algorithm considers while ranking clips in reels.

And of course, more users are watching Reels as part of their strategy. Reels across both Facebook and IG is Meta's fastest growing format of content, and now driving over 200 billion cumulative views per day. Reels have been propelled by Meta's shift to AI-recommended content, with more than 50% of the posts that you see in your IG feed now being funneled to you by Meta's AI system, rather than from profiles that you've chosen.

Thus, more brands are looking at tapping into Reels to boost their content performance and reach and, with promotional Reels also driving sales activity, these additional notes could be of value to many creators.

It's not in live testing yet and probably never will be, but Meta is experimenting with the format internally.
