Instagram announced a set of new features for Stories aimed at enhancing user creativity and engagement. The standout addition is the **“Reveal”** feature, which allows you to post a hidden Story that your followers can unlock by sending you a DM.

Additionally, Instagram is rolling out new ways to share your favorite songs and highlight memories through Stories.

To use the Reveal feature, simply tap the stickers icon while creating a Story and choose the “Reveal” option. You'll then need to provide a hint about your blurred story. Once posted, your friends can only view the content of your Story if they DM you!

The new **Reveal** feature is not only a fun way to spark conversations with friends, but it’s particularly beneficial for creators looking to boost engagement on their Stories. Instagram has clarified that you won't need to approve each DM for your Story to be unlocked, relieving creators from the pressure of sifting through countless messages.

In addition, Instagram is introducing the **“Add Yours Music”** sticker for Stories, allowing users to share a song that matches their mood while inviting their followers to do the same. This feature expands on the existing “Add Yours” sticker, enabling users to respond to others’ Stories with their own contributions based on a prompt or theme.

Additionally, users will soon gain access to a new feature called **“Frames,”** which allows you to turn a photo into a virtual Polaroid. You can view it by shaking your phone, or simply clicking the **“Shake to reveal”** button if you prefer not to shake. While Stories typically highlight your current activities, this feature is intended for sharing nostalgic throwback posts.

Once you select an image, the **Frames** sticker automatically includes the date and timestamp of when the photo was taken. You also have the option to add a caption to the virtual Polaroid, giving your post a more personalized touch.

Another exciting new feature, **“Cutouts,”** allows users to create custom stickers from any part of a video or photo in their camera roll. This feature resembles Apple’s image cutout tool, enabling you to “pick up” an object from a photo or video with just a tap of your finger. You can then add these personalized stickers to your Stories or Reels, adding a fun and unique touch to your content!
