Instagram Introduces New Text and Sticker Features.

Instagram is introducing new creative features, such as a variety of fonts for Reels and Stories, stickers for photos, text animations, and more.

To start, Instagram has rolled out several new text fonts that users can incorporate into their posts.

You now have more options to elevate the aesthetic of your Stories with fonts that better reflect your message.

Instagram has also streamlined the process of adding text to your posts, making it easier to access these new styles.

According to Instagram:

“Open the text tool and tap on the text button to explore the new fonts. Once you choose a font, you can animate your text or apply effects—easily mix and match to discover a combination that stands out and feels uniquely yours.”

Text animation is another exciting new feature, and together with these additions, they offer more ways to express yourself through your Instagram updates.

Users will now also have the ability to add stickers to photos and carousel posts, further expanding their creative possibilities.

You can now add text and sticker effects to both single and multi-image posts, expanding your creative canvas within the app. Additionally, Instagram has recently increased the limit for carousel posts to 20 frames, offering even more opportunities to create extensive collections.

These updates are part of Instagram’s strategy to retain younger audiences and provide more creative options in line with broader usage trends. For instance, TikTok already allows users to post photos with stickers, and with the potential of TikTok disappearing from the U.S. early next year, Instagram aims to create a more welcoming environment for users transitioning from that app.

This is also why Instagram is focusing on enhancing its music features and trends, as these updates will offer additional creative tools to accommodate this possible shift.

However, it’s worth noting that the inability to add stickers to still images and carousels until now seems like a straightforward fix.
