Instagram Introduces 'Following' Filter in the Reels Tab

A slight Reels refresh that makes it more TikTok-like.
As for this week, Instagram has added a new "Following" feed in the Reels tab, allowing you to see only Reels from accounts followed within the app.
Up to now, Instagram has offered only one Reels feed that mingles posts from accounts you follow with other recommended clips. Now, however, like TikTok's "For You" and "Following" streams, you can choose to show only the most recent videos from accounts you choose.

Probably not too useful on Instagram since most of the users are following a variety of accounts in the app and may not necessarily care about their Reels as much as they are interested in their regular posts and Stories.

I would take a guess that most people do not follow the same accounts on TikTok as on Instagram, either because they don't choose to follow TikTok accounts or otherwise; so, by extension, that probably also means that your Reels "Following" feed isn't as amusingly diverse as the main display.

But well and good to have the option, I suppose, if you do like seeing only clips from the accounts that you choose.

Flip your Reels tab to "Following" by tapping the "Reels" title at the top left of the screen and clicking "Following" from the menu that drops down. At any time, you can return to the standard Reel feed by tapping the back arrow in the upper left-hand side of your screen.
