Good news for social media managers, as Meta is expanding the capability of its Instagram Marketing API to allow third-party posting platforms to assist with product tags on your promotions.
Instagram Marketing API allows third-party platforms to offer scheduling and posting ad capabilities, and with this new addition you will have even more ways to personalize your IG ads directly from your social management apps.
Meta says:
As of today, Instagram will allow advertisers to easily create and amplify posts using Product Tags through the Instagram Marketing API for feed photos, carousel, and existing feed videos. It's a new process that eliminates unnecessary friction in the usage of third-party platforms for users and makes it easier for advertisers to use Ads with Product Tags in new and existing media posts.
This will further simplify your workflow when creating using IG management tools, and Instagram also launched Search Ads placement via the API in March and Stories scheduling via the Instagram Graph API in May.
With all this, you now have a lot more ways to manage your IG ads and organic content, which should make it much easier to stay across all of the various platforms and elements.
