This year's Google I/O, on Wednesday, was all about AI. The company announced a number of AI-powered features across its products. The search giant also launched a new page called Google Labs to let people sign up for these experiments and test out AI-powered features for feedback before the wider release.

At the moment, you can view four projects on the Google Labs home page. These projects include AI-powered Google search features; AI in Google Workspaces; Tailwind, a new company project about smarter note-taking; and MusicLM, a new tool, letting you generate music based on text prompts. You may click on each project to learn more or sign up for the waitlist to get access and try them out.

Google announced that it would begin shortly rolling out some limited-time experiments. These will include search improvements under Search Generative Experience (SGE), assisting individuals to summarize search topics and prompts that allow them to delve deeper; Code Tips will assist users who are experiencing coding difficulties directly from the search bar in languages including but not limited to Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, C++, Kotlin, shell, Docker, and Git; and "Add to Sheets," which will enable embedding search results, such as recommending vacations, directly into a Google Sheet.

Currently, search labs are only available in the U.S. and in English. Most experiments also require participants to be at least 18 years old to be included in the wait list. The Google Labs can be accessed either through the website or via the Labs icon on the Google app.

The other was new Labs page, to be dedicated to the AI experiments, besides lifting waitlist on the Bard chatbot and making it accessible to users in 180 countries, besides support for Japanese and Korean.
