One innovation done in Gmail is the "Help me write" feature for web users.
This feature is one easy way to compose emails. This allows the user to quickly create a new draft or edit an existing email.
For those who will use a blank draft in Gmail, opening this would prompt them to make use of the "Help me write" feature. It would be the same as that of mobile.
This AI tool is available only for Google One AI Premium subscribers or for those subscribers with a Gemini add-on to Google Workspace.
The "Help me write" feature is used to generate email drafts but also provides suggestions on how to formalise, elaborate, or shorten messages. It is very useful for those who want to improve the professionalism of their correspondence or simply save time when composing emails.
Other than the drafting skills, Google also introduces another shortcut referred to as the "polish" in relation to drafts that consist of over 12 words. Thus, users are able to polish their e-mails instantaneously by tapping on the shortcut or on the key board using Ctrl + H. This aims at providing an assurance to users who will ensure production of effective content for the e-mail within a period, resulting in clarity and professionalism.
The old "Refine my draft" shortcut, on mobile devices today, is displaced by this new option, "polish". By swiping to reach that feature, the app automatically refines the message. Users can then continue making any final adjustments they wish using Google's other AI editing tools.
Google has today announced two new tools. First off, it's rolling out the "Help me write" feature, which combines with a new "polish" shortcut. For the company, the introduction of these tools will now be made available to their users in the course of several days.
With Gemini AI integrated into Gmail, better email drafts are coming around the corner for users:.
