Google Chat brings instant voice meetings — quite like Slack's Huddles — allowing you quickly to switch into a voice or video call from directly within a chat. Rather than giving it a new name, Google, too will call the feature "Huddles.".
If you find yourself in Google Chat, you start a huddle in just seconds by selecting on the "Start the huddle" option within a drop-down menu alongside your call.
This automatically defaults for calls, even though its users are like those in the case of Google Meet-by switching to activate video options or share a screen.
The feature is rolling out starting today, and it will be available for all Workspace users in weeks. It was first announced by Google last year, as part of the refresh of Google Chat.
