With regards to this, LinkedIn advertisers would receive another avenue by which to measure campaign performance as DoubleVerify extends its independent media quality measurement coverage of LinkedIn premium video inventory.
DoubleVerify supplies an independent assessment of ad campaign performance across multiple categories, providing the marketer with a chance to reconcile ad results with data supplied by the source in question.
DoubleVerify's media quality measurement brings insights into ad placement and viewability, that in turn provides more capacity to advertisers to understand specifically what kind of performance each ad performs.
According to DoubleVerify:
"This launch enables advertisers to ensure their video ads on LinkedIn are viewable and IVT-free on LinkedIn for further performance of the campaign. Advertisers can also tap measurement data and insights from DV Pinnacle, the company's single service and analytics reporting platform, to monitor and optimize the performance of their campaigns on LinkedIn ads."
And with video up and coming on LinkedIn, that could be huge.
In July, LinkedIn reported that the platform's fastest growing form of content was video, with video uploads in the app up 34 percent year-over-year. And now the platform is actively pushing video content, via in-feed carousels and even a dedicated video tab, so this should grow and make video ad options all the more attractive for LinkedIn.
Independent verification of video ad performance would then be an important addition, so that brands can better understand and measure their performance in the app.
It further builds on DoubleVerify's already established partnership with LinkedIn, which has included a range of LinkedIn ad options already using independent validation and measurement.
DoubleVerify will begin offering this expanded measurement to customers "over the coming days.
