Canva, a graphic design company that offers online design, announced today Canva for Campus, a new paid subscription for universities and colleges. Students, professors, staff, and campus administrators will have access to Canva's complete tool suite-from professional and educational templates like reports, presentations, and other documents; millions of stock images, videos, audio, infographics, and more.

Canva for Campus Now Available for All Higher Education Institutions Worldwide Canva is now offering Canva for Campus to all higher education institutions around the world. It had initially been available only to select schools, which included Dartmouth College, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Redlands.

The subscription is essentially Canva for Teams, launched in August 2022. It's all the functionalities like Teams but focused towards schools and universities. It includes all the whole Visual Worksuite, that include Canva Docs, Canva Websites, Canva Whiteboards, and Data Visualization.

Canva for Campus places students, faculty, staff, and other departments into a "team." One has 1TB storage on each team. Team members will be able to brainstorm with the whiteboard collaboration tool, create content like group projects, lectures, provide immediate real-time feedback in text or visual stickers, share, edit, and review all in the same place.

The cost of this new subscription is based on the total number of students. TechCrunch reports that Canva co-founder and chief product officer Cameron Adams explained that users only pay for staff accounts, and once a certain threshold of staff licenses has been bought, the students get free access. For example, if there are 5,000 students at a college or university and the institution buys 60 staff licenses, all of these students get free access.

For the last years, we have been following Canva as the tool to love of thousands of universities around the world. We are proud to help them reach the best results and acquire the critical skill of visual communication for them to take to the workplace," said Carly Daff, the head of Teams and Education at Canva. "Through launching Canva for Campus, we plan to bring together all the staff and students at a university working towards great things.".

Canva is also a tool that can be fruitful not only for students but also for businesses. There are cases in which companies include this preference in the advertisement of a job post: they look for candidates with experience in Canva. Even college students have online courses regarding how to use Canva. As of 2022, Canva has had more than 110 million users every month.

"With this new offering, we're filling the gap between school and work at which students will necessarily become advocates or catalysts for Canva adoption in their future workplaces," it said.

Features include the ability to create groups and folders, along with the viewing of approval workflows and analytics dashboards. Professors can share assignments with their students through integrations available in Canvas, Blackboard, Schoology, BrightSpace, and many more.

College and university marketing departments, too, can reap the benefits of Canva for Campus since its subscription feature has "Brand Kits," which allows the user to upload his brand fonts, colors, and logos, so pre-made branded templates are available in newsletters, social media posts, and student enrollment documents.

The other features that administrators can use include SSO authentication, where admins will enable management of access by staff and students. They can also have admin reporting and permission.

It is an extension of Canva for Education, offering teachers and students limitless access to all of Canva's premium features, including educational templates on any subject or grade (K-12) or topic, images, fonts, videos and animations, editing features, as well as their capability to give assignment feedback. Integration is available with classroom tools, such as D2L, Moodle, Google Classroom, and Microsoft Teams. The company says over 30 million students and teachers use Canva for Education around the globe.
