Apple released Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 and Final Cut Camera, the company announced Thursday. The company introduced both of those apps in May during the company's iPad event. Apple also released updates for Final Cut Pro for Mac.

The updated iPad version features capabilities that make use of a new iPad Pro with an M4 chip. Apple promises that the new M4 chip will feature over double in rendering performance, and the processor will handle up to 4x more streams of ProRes RAW compared to the M1 chip.

The Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 will debut a new "Live Multicam" feature, which will allow users to connect and preview up to four cameras at the same time. For every camera, users get a director's view with manual control of the camera settings through a new Final Cut Camera app; and users will be able to connect multiple iPhones or iPads by a new companion app. Each Live Multicam angle is automatically transferred and synced by Final Cut Pro, so you can move from production to editing easily.

Final Cut Camera drives Live Multicam and is the standalone recording app on iPhone and iPad. The app enables users to adjust such settings as manual focus, shutter speed, ISO, focus peaking, grid overlays, and more.

The last feature of Final Cut Pro for iPad 2 is the much-in-demand addition of support for external projects. Users can create a new project or open any project already created without using up resources taking up the internal storage space of the iPad.

For Final Cut Pro for Mac 10.8, there will be all-new AI features available for users.
